Patient and Client Council – Experiences of self-directed support

In September 2018 the Patient and Client Council set out to hear the views and experiences of people who have used self-directed support to arrange social care for themselves, or the person they care for.

Entitled ‘Our Experiences of Self-directed Support’; this report represents the first user-feedback survey that has been conducted on self-directed support in Northern Ireland.  Whilst this report represents a fairly small-scale information gathering exercise, it nonetheless highlights some of the most common positives and negatives that people experience with self-directed support.
