Austen Burns to Visit the Centre for Independent Living in Cambodia

CILNI’s Information Officer, Austen Burns, is due to visit the Centre for Independent Living in Phnom Pehn, Cambodia in June 2019. The visit will give him a great opportunity to learn about the important work the Centre does with disabled people in the country.

Disabled people in Cambodia face a number of struggles. In particular, accessing education, employment and other services. The Centre in Cambodia has the same ethos as CILNI and as part of the independent living movement they strive to empower disabled people and work tirelessly for their independence and disability rights.
