Coronavirus National Testing Programme

Coronavirus National Testing Programme for frontline workers (including Personal Assistants employed through Direct Payments) who are having to self-isolate due to having coronavirus-like symptoms or because a member of their household has symptoms.

Frontline workers included are those in the private sector, with a focus on staff delivering key medical, energy, utility, transport and food supplies. Those listed below can attend any test centre

o   Any central government department

o   Health and safety executive

o   Those necessary to enable the critical national infrastructure to continue to operate (e.g. utility, transport sectors)

o   Those necessary to support the health and wellbeing of the community directly

As and when employees need to be tested as a result of having to self-isolate due to having coronavirus-like symptoms or because a member of their household has symptoms they should:

·       Email their name and a contact number toNCTP@hscni.net.

·       On receipt of this email PHA staff will contact them for further details andto book an appointment.

·       All centres are open 10.00 am – 4.00 pm, 7 days each week.

·       All necessary details will be emailed to employees when they make a booking.

By attending a prior appointment, this will enable the test centres to run smoothly and efficiently. Eligible people may attend a test centre without an appointment however this may lead to delays in entry and processing as additional information will be required on arrival before a test may be carried out.

Please see the link below for information for more details about test centre locations, family eligibility and procedures for drive-through.
