Consultation and engagement session on the Reform of Adult Social Care.

Centre for Independent Living NI and The Omnibus Partnership invite you to join in a facilitated online consultation and engagement session on the Reform of Adult Social Care.

Health Minister Robin Swann launched the public consultation on the Reform of Adult Social Care on 26 January 2022. It runs until 18 May 2022.

The Consultation lays out 6 strategic priorities and brings forward 48 separate and far reaching proposals for change across the whole Adult Social Care System, from how we support our workforce, to how we select and implement our models of care and support, strengthen our regulation, and put people at its centre.

The Consultation is available in full at: https://www.health-ni.gov.uk/consultations/consultation-reform-adult-social-care.

The Department of Health’s telephone number is: 028 9052 0500.

With coproduction having always been at the heart of the Reform Process, the Department of Health is keen to continue listening to stakeholders.

Centre for Independent Living NI and the Omnibus Partnership are working with the Department to help ensure that the voices of disabled people with lived experiences of adult social care services are heard loudly and clearly in responses to the Consultation.

Are you a disabled person with lived experiences of adult social care services?

If so, we invite you to participate in one of the two following facilitated online consultation and engagement sessions. Each session will last approximately 2 hours and should involve around 20 disabled people.

The Afternoon Session is on Monday, 11 April 2022, from 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m.

The Evening Session is on Wednesday, 13 April 2022, from 7.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m.

Numbers are limited. Please reply as soon as possible, indicating which session you wish to attend. Places will be allocated on a first-come basis.

In addition, may I ask you to advise us, as you see fit, of any reasonable adjustments necessary to ensure your comfort and complete involvement.
