Become a trustee
As the CILNI continues to develop its work across Northern Ireland, we are seeking new members to join our Board. With a strategic plan to deliver for 2016 – 2019, you will play a key role in making it happen.
As a board member, you will grasp the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead with vision and energy – applying your expertise to make a visible and lasting difference to CILNI. This will mean overseeing our development, ensuring sound governance, as well as promoting our work to key audiences and representing CILNI at events.
Board members cannot expect to be experts on every subject that comes before the Board, but they can apply their experience gained in different walks of life to assess proposals and determine which will benefit CILNI. We are keen to hear from people with not only knowledge or experience in Self Directed Support and Direct Payments, but also in the work of the health and social care sector, business and finance, legal, marketing and public relations, advocacy and influencing government policy and membership development.
Committed to CILNI and its vision, you will bring an assertive yet collaborative approach to the role, have a high level or integrity and understand and accept the legal duties of being a trustee and a Chief Executive. A natural team player, you will also be capable of making the most of your well-developed network to help make our vision for the future a reality.
