Thanks to everyone who attended our Annual General Meeting and Workshop on the 22nd November. The event was a great success, in the excellent facilities of our chosen venue of the National Football Stadium, Windsor Park, Belfast.
Notable features were:
§ We had 50 attendees at the event of which 11 were service users
§ We enabled the membership to re-elect a board of management and asked for expressions of interest for new board members
§ We facilitated the adoption of the previous year’s AGM minutes, annual accounts and appointment of auditors
§ We launched Facebook Live to our 54 and growing number of followers
§ We introduced a Twitter hashtag #askcilni as a new way of contacting CILNI (we currently have more than 360 followers on Twitter)
§ We facilitated a discussion on social care provision in N. Ireland and CILNI’s supporting role
§ We encouraged our growing social media community to participate in the broader discussion
§ We recorded the meeting in various formats including video, photography, notes and through sharing stories
Huge thanks to everyone who attended, presented at and contributed to the event, and we hope even more people can join us for the next one! If you want to see any pictures, reports or the live broadcast from the AGM, then please check our Facebook page www.facebook.com/centreforindependentlivingni/ Twitter profile https://twitter.com/cfilni.
After lunch, approximately 20 people enjoyed a very interesting and informative tour of the new and refurbished facilities at the stadium.
